Tip #47: Grasp Your Inner Strength

When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.”
-Peter Marshall

We all have those days. Under pressure. Work piles up. Time flies by too fast. Everybody needs something from you — right now. You feel like you just might explode! You may be fighting an inner battle between controlling your frustration and finding the capacity and the strength to complete each and every task that is laid out before you. It’s quite an exhausting battle! Trust that you have the strength within you to get through that moment — to get through that day. The power to become the victor lies within you. All you need to do is take hold of it.

Now, take a deep breath. Close your eyes. Exhale. Be still. Just take a moment to separate the negative frustration holding you back from the positive strength and energy that you DO have to overcome the difficulties.

When our personal strength is tested, we learn to persevere. It is through these experiences and “tests,” that we build our character. Such character serves greatly to give us hope. These are the days that turn us into diamonds.
