Tip #22: Sit Still

If your gut reaction to today’s tip was “No way, it’s not possible!”, you stand even more to gain from doing it. For most of us, life is set on perpetual fast forward as we race from one task, errand, or obligation to another. By forcing yourself to stop and do nothing, you’ll automatically start to focus on the “ordinary miracles” that so often go overlooked: the sound of birds chirping, the smell of a fresh rain, the sound of children’s laughter, and the undiscovered insights buried in your mind.

Now, pick a spot and just stop, sit, and savor thirty minutes of stillness. Experiment with different locations and times of day to find the routine that works best for you.
